  One of the best places in town for beef brisket, as I don't eat pork. But the dry rub ribs are good also from what the hub says.

  My wife and I eat barbecue at Baby Jacks all the time.There is no Bar B Que any better anywhere in Memphis or the surrounding area. The best buy is the half chicken and the ribs are to die for I like the dry ribs and dip in the medium heat sauce. Yummm Yummm

  Maybe I'm just way out of the loop but this has to be the best-kept secret among barbeque spots in Memphis.
  
  After a late breakfast, my friend and I got hungry in the late afternoon and came at about 4:00. Typically I find that going to a barbeque restaurant at off-hours is a recipe for dry, chewy meat, but that certainly wasn't the case at Baby Jack's. The ribs were delicious and fell off the bone, and the pork was juicy, tender, and wonderfully smokey. They weren't very heavy-handed with the dry rub on the ribs, which is either a plus or a minus depending on your perspective.
  
  The thing that really sets Baby Jack's apart is their sauces — in terms of both variety and quality. They really have something for everyone. To begin with, they have the best mustard-based sauce (called Dragon's fire or something along those lines) I've had in Memphis. Their vinegar sauce was very subtle and complemented the pork perfectly, not overwhelming the flavor of the meat but rather allowing it to speak for itself. The creamy white sauce was also excellent. I didn't try their sweet sauces (served in both spicy and regular varieties), but if they stack up to the rest then I'm sure they're top-notch.
  
  My friend's main gripe was that there wasn't a place to leave a tip when they ran our cards. My only issue, other than that the potato salad was average, is that they don't have a location closer to Midtown.
