  I been eating here for years me and my husband but yesterday before going to work we stop by there and got our usual hamburger steak supreme when I got to work to eat and cut a piece of it I found a dead croach in my food before eating it I call them to let them know they tryed to act like it didn't come from there and the manager wouldn't get on the phone but offer me my money back I'll never eat from here again.

  I went for thanksgiving dinner, since I just moved here and don't know anybody here, and couldn't go home for the holiday due to work. I just wanted a taste of what my family was having back home. I sat at the booth by myself for awhile while two tables were seated near me and greeted almost instantly. One hostess asked how long I had been sitting after about 10 minutes. 5 minutes after that, nothing.
  
  After I left without ever being greeted, I called and the manager said they were going through shift change and people didn't know what tables were theirs.
  
  As a restaurant manager myself, this is unacceptable. I feel like an already bad thanksgiving was made worse by this experience.
  
  Don't waste your time with this dixie cafe. They obviously don't care about service.

  I love the southern cooking at Dixie Café. The fried catfish, the meatloaf, and the marinated black eyed pea salad are delicious.
