  Very convenient place to eat. It's near the blues foundation, the civil rights museum, the Gibson center, and some other important places nearby. I took a class full of middle school students to the blues hall of fame for a field trip once and after the visit we walked to Central in a few minutes.The menu was pretty solid, too. I'm not a big barbecue person but I thought the food was good.

  Good service, ribs were amazing, brisket was dry and flavorless. Pulled pork was also a touch dry, but the homemade sauces fixed that right up. Beer list was great, too. Service not bad but not great.

  My wife had heard a lot about this place as travel through Memphis often. It's right off Beale Street and across street of Lorraine Motel. I have to say that the hospitality was great, menu was easy to read, and everyone was pretty nice.
  
  I ordered dry ribs and I thought it was seasoned well and to my taste. However, none of the meats ordered had much of a smoked flavor, Sausage & Brisket. However, I'll definitely return.
