Reviews about Alchemy Memphis
- 1 / 5By Jordon WalkerI participated in sprockn roll with family and friends back in August. Alchemy was one of the bars we went into and we were not welcomed. Both bartenders did not acknowledge us. We came in with a bang! It was very clear a big group of black women entered the building. The bar was not crowded. We stood there for a few minutes and decided to leave and take our money elsewhere. It felt like a snoody atmosphere. I'll never forget that. I will never support.April 23, 2017
- 4 / 5By Kyle ChristianOne of the best bites of non-BBQ food that I had while in Memphis was the scallop appetizer. Happy hour is the time to go!February 07, 2017
- 4 / 5By Clay PattersonFirst time here at Alchemy. The atmosphere is relaxing and we stayed around to finish our bottle of wine long after the food was cleared. Great feeling to just enjoy the evening. In regard to the food, my wife had the fish of the day and I had the quail. The fish was a hefty portion from their "Share plate" menu. The Quail was from the "Big plate" menu and it was significantly smaller. Both were delicious but next time I'm get clarification on big vs share.September 02, 2016
- 4 / 5By Matthew MartinezWe went at around 8:45p on a Friday night, but the place was not very busy. We weren't terribly hungry so we sat at the bar and just ordered the meat and cheese board and two cocktails. The board and the cocktails were very good and everything seemed great. But then we started asking about some whiskey. While there are a lot of whiskeys on the list, some of the more rare ones are definitely not available, and there seemed to be a lot of confusion between the two bartenders helping us whether other whiskeys were available or not. We asked the same guy twice for a glass of Angel's Envy, which *he* had originally suggested to us. We never received it! Overall it just did not seem like a professional bar environment, which was very strange given it was a Friday night at what I would have assumed is a peak time. The cocktails we had were good though so I would consider giving them another shot.August 07, 2016
